We use your information to provide and operate the Service, generate estimates and invoices you ask for, save your work to your account, support you, keep the Service secure, and improve it. We do not sell your personal information.
We may also use aggregated, de-identified data — information that can no longer identify you or your clients — to improve the Service, including making Boceto's AI-generated estimates more accurate. Before any such use, we remove names, contact details, and street addresses, and keep location only at the province or region level. For example, we may analyze anonymized line-item names and pricing patterns to learn typical prices by trade and region.
When you ask Boceto to create an estimate, the description and any photos you provide are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate suggested line items and prices. We share only what is needed for that purpose. Please avoid entering sensitive personal information you don't want processed this way.
We use trusted third parties to run Boceto, who process data on our behalf:
Boceto lets you store information about your own clients. You are responsible for that information and for having the right to enter it. For data you put into your account, you act as the controller and we process it on your behalf to provide the Service to you.
We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from within the app, which removes your data from our active systems. Some information may remain in backups for a limited time before being overwritten, and we may keep limited records where required by law. Because this is an early-access product, we recommend keeping your own copies of important documents.
We use reasonable measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and database access rules so each account can only reach its own data. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Subject to applicable law, you may request to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or ask questions about how we handle it, by contacting support@boceto.com. Under Canadian law (PIPEDA) you have the right to access your personal information and request corrections.
Your information may be stored or processed in Canada, the United States, or other regions where our service providers operate. By using the Service you understand your information may be processed outside your province or country.
The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the date above and, for material changes, make reasonable efforts to notify you.
